Leipzig Private Tour
We'll meet at a time of your choice at Gewandhaus, near to Augustusplatz, the city's main square, and set off on our 2.5-hour private tour of Leipzig.
Our first stop will be the Opera House, one of Europe's oldest opera venues which has seen performances from legendary musicians such as Bach and Wagner. Then we'll head to the Gewandhaus concert hall which, along with its orchestra, has been the symbol of this Saxon city for over 250 years.
Nearby we'll come across the University of Leipzig, the second oldest in the country, and from there we'll head to the Neues Rathaus New Town Hall and the Federal Administrative Court, one of Germany's five supreme courts.
The next stop on the tour will be St. Thomas Church, known for being the place where Johan Sebastian Bach worked as a kapellmeister choir director. Afterwards, we'll visit the Auerbachs Keller, one of the oldest taverns in Europe.
We'll end the tour by walking around the Market Square, where we'll find more important monuments such as the Old Town Hall, the Goethe Memorial and St. Nicholas Church.
